FROM THE ARTIST: Magenta Dream is one of my newer pieces. It’s based on the idea of how easy it would be to turn to drugs when under a lot of stress. I wanted to capture a “faded vibe” while still being able to see the emotional angst pressuring her to do drugs. The color palette is larger-than-life bright because it is meant to simulate a trip. That’s also why she doesn’t have eyes- because she’s not “all there”.
