DESCRIPTION:  I am attracted to making a connection between cultures and coexistence. Whether it is through direct subject matter or alluding to a symbol, my art is a production of a Filipino-American.
Inspired by patterns, my greatest influences are Japanese origami, Filipino Kalinga tattoo, and Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic geometric pattern. My dog Taco in my work has become not just an obsession, but also a character. Taco lives in my work along side these patterns from different cultures. The purpose of these drawings and paintings is not about finding a connection between two different cultures but being the connection and embodying coexistence.
